Three new exhibitons, focusing on different aspects of rural life in the Mohawk Valley, one in a new gallery, are set to open at the Mabee Farm in Rotterdam Junction.
The exhibitions’ opening reception is set for Saturday, October 12th, from 2 to 4 pm, and will feature gallery talks with the exhibits’ curators and contributing artists,. The event is free to the general public.
“Rural Modern” explores the stories of Schenectady’s contemporary rural farmers through photographs and stories.
“Farming the Valley” delves into the history and legacy of Mabee Farm, and showcases some of the Farm’s most significant antiques.
“Farm to Canvas: Presented by the Schenectady Art Society” is a collection of works by local artists, inspired by the areas rural landscape.
