Historic Hudson Christ Church Conservancy Book Sale

August 5, 2019 by Editorial Staff Leave a Comment

Hope and Charity windowHistoric Christ Church Episcopal in the city of Hudson, NY, is set to hold its notable fall book sale on Saturday, September 21, at 9 am. A special preview will be held for early book buying at 6 pm on Friday, September 20.

Of special interest is the sale on both days of baseball books collected by the late Kinderhook High School Coach Gordon Van Buren. At 7 pm on Friday a poetry reading will be offered, organized by local poet and church parishioner Del Marbrook. Admission to the Friday events is $10 per person.

The book sale is sponsored by the Friends of Historic Christ Church Conservancy, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation established in 1997. Proceeds benefit Christ Church stained glass restoration efforts. The church is beginning restoration of the 1885 Hope and Charity stained glass window, the work of London artist Charles Booth.

For more information, call the church at (518) 828-1329.
