Tickets are now on sale for the 2019 Historic Walking Tour at the Albany Rural Cemetery, presented in partnership with the Historical Society of the Town of Colonie, set for September 14th.
The tour will visit the graves of prominent persons interred in Albany Rural Cemetery. Attendees will be treated to first person presentations by local actors at gravesites along the tour route.
Life stories of historical figures, such as Albany Evening Journal editor George Dawson, physician and politician John Swinburne, sculptor Erastus Dow Palmer, Margarita Schuyler (daughter of General Philip Schuyler) and a variety of other prominent men and women will be told.
There will be four different time slots beginning at 2 pm with the last at 3 pm. The tour will take approximately an hour and a half.
Cost is $20 per person. Tickets must be purchased online. Once you have ordered, email firstname.lastname@example.org with the name and contact information of each person in your party.
