Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation is set to hold their 2019 Historic Homes Tour on Saturday, May 11th from 10 am to 4 pm.
This year’s tour features nine historic homes – 46 Circular Street, 108 Circular Street, two condos at the Stone Abbey at 125 Circular Street, 172 Circular Street, 201 Circular Street, 89 Court Street, 30 North Lane, and rehabilitation in progress at 184 Spring Street. In addition to these homes, the Van Raalte Mill at 125 High Rock Avenue and the New York State Military Museum at 61 Lake Avenue, will also be featured.
Saratoga Springs City Historian Mary Ann Fitzgerald will share some of the rich history of the Van Raalte Mill in her presentation “Echoes from the Mill: Tales from Between the Lions.” At the lunch Charlie Kuenzel and Dave Patterson will make a presentation about the development of Saratoga Springs. Breakfast will take place at the Van Raalte Mill at 9:30 am with a meal provided by Spring Street Deli & Pizzeria. Lunch will take place at noon at the New York State Military Museum, 61 Lake Avenue, with boxed lunch provided by The Inn at Saratoga. Both the breakfast and lunch events have limited seating. Tickets for both must be purchased in advance and cost $20 SSPF Members / $25 non-members.
Advance discounted Historic Homes Tour tickets are $30 for SSPF members / $40 for non-members and can now be purchased online and by phone, as well as at all Adirondack Trust Company locations. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event for $35 members / $45 non-members at 112 Spring Street from 9:30 am to 3 pm.
Funds raised at this event support the Foundation’s ongoing educational programs and efforts to preserve the unique architectural, landscaped, and cultural heritage of Saratoga Springs.
