Author Rodger Potocki is set to give a presentation on his book Lucky U, Lucky Us: Utica in the 1950s, on Saturday, February 23rd at 1 pm, at the Oneida County History Center, 1608 Genesee Street, Utica.
Lucky U, Lucky Us paints a picture of national and local life, and a distinctive decade in the city of Utica’s history.
Rodger Potocki grew up and has spent most of his life in the Utica area. He is a product of the era of which he writes, the 1950s. Upon retiring from a career in both the public and private sectors, he turned to writing about the unique experiences of his home area from a historical and personal perspective. Rodger’s first book, From the Inside, chronicles local political and economic events and decisions spanning a forty year period. Rodger lives in New Hartford, NY.
