Historic Huguenot Street has been listed among sites nationwide as a Distinctive Destination by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. National Trust Distinctive Destinations are an ever-expanding group of diverse historic sites across the country that help illustrate the breadth and depth of the American story.
According to SavingPlaces.org, these destinations range from house museums to working farms, and “can add memorable moments to an off-the-beaten-path road trip, create new opportunities for a family vacation, or even become a new favorite gift shop.”
Historic Huguenot Street has been awarded three grants from the NTHP since 2003, including most recently funds to support the museum’s strategic planning initiative earlier this year.
