The St. Lawrence County Historical Association’s (SLCHA) Annual Membership Meeting has been set for Saturday, November 3rd at 4 pm. The meeting will take place at the 1844 House located at 6885 US Route 11, Potsdam.
A multi-course meal will be served with an entrée choice of Beef Bourguignonne, Dijon-Herb Crusted Salmon, or Butternut Ravioli (vegan and gluten free options are available upon request) followed by a program.
As part of the annual meeting, SLCHA will be raffling off several items including a framed painting, a hand carved decoy, and a framed photograph. Tickets are one dollar each or six for five dollars. Tickets are available at the SLCHA up until the drawing on November 3rd. The framed painting is of “The Pillars of Creation” by artist Betty Graham who depicted a feature of the Eagle Nebula which is 7,000 light-years from earth. The painting is valued at $420. The hand carved decoy is a Canada goose crafted by Bill and Chris Gillespie in Seneca Falls. The framed photograph is a recent capture of the historical school building in Morley amid bright fall foliage.
