On October 6th, the Rome Historical Society’s newest exhibit “Dig! Study! Share!” is set to officially open. Designed just for kids, this interactive exhibit features a dig pit full of strange objects ready to be examined and cataloged by young aspiring archaeologists. Screens, shovels, brushes, and more can all be used while searching for artifacts, just like at a real archaeological dig.
Dig! Study! Share! is a continuation of the 2016 From Memory to Monument exhibition, which celebrates the Reconstruction of Fort Stanwix National Monument and was co-developed with the National Park Service.
The Rome Historical Society is located at 200 Church Street in Rome, NY. For more information, call (315) 336-5870 or visit their website.
