Saratoga Summer Stroll of The Spa Complex Sunday

Hall of SpringsThe Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation’s next Summer Stroll will tour The Spa Complex, the core of the Saratoga Spa State Park, on Sunday, July 29th at 10:30 am with Linda Harvey-Opiteck.

Discover the architecture and landscape of the significant National Historic Landmark Saratoga Spa State Park. Learn the history leading to its development which involved key local and national individuals. The tour, sponsored by Saratoga Performing Arts Center, meets at 108 Avenue of the Pines in front of the Hall of Springs.

Summer Strolls offered every Sunday through September 2nd. All Sunday morning tours start at 10:30 am, last approximately 90 minutes, and take place rain or shine. The cost per tour is $5 for SSPF members and $8 for non-members. Guests may buy a ticket for four tours and receive the fifth free. Reservations are encouraged, but not necessary.

Next Sunday, August 5th at 10:30 am, is Here Lies Saratoga’s Past: Greenridge Cemetery. Learn about the beautiful and unusual crypts and mausoleums of Greenridge Cemetery, while exploring the history of some of Saratoga’s most prominent citizens with tour leader Jan Klassovity. The tour will meet at the Sackett Gates entrance of Greenridge Cemetery on Lincoln Avenue. LaBrake Memorials is the sponsor for this Greenridge Cemetery tour.
