An illustrated lecture on early Albany-Troy piano makers by piano conservator and historian Wally Stock has been set for Tuesday, March 13th, from 7 to 8 pm, in Kinderhook.
The lecture will include makers in Albany, Troy, and Nassau during the period from 1830’s through the 1890’s.
Originally from Malden Bridge in Chatham, Wally Stock has an interest in the history and development of the piano. He services and restores antique pianos and pianos of all makes at his business, Stock’s Piano Services, founded in 1973.
This lecture is sponsored by the Columbia County Historical Society (CCHS), and will be held at the Van Buren Hall, Upstairs at 6 Chatham Street in Kinderhook. Prior to the public program, the CCHS Volunteers will hold a brief meeting at 6:30 pm.
