The New York State Council on the Arts Museum Program, in partnership with CNY Arts, has announced they will again offer Professional Development Grants to eligible museums across New York State in 2018.
They have just over $33,000 to award. Museums may apply for up to $750 for a professional development opportunity for one or more staff or volunteers. Out-of-state travel cannot be supported with the award, but registration fees can be.
The opportunity opens on January 4, 2018, and applications will be submitted via Google Forms. (You do not need a Gmail account to access the form). The link will be made available on that day. Full details, application webinar information, a list of some examples of professional development opportunities, and FAQ are all available online.
Applicants may request funding to attend any or all Greater Hudson Heritage Network programs in 1 ask, as long as it does not exceed the limit of $750. You will need to identify the specific programs and the amount per program.
