History Takes Stage In Off-Broadway Play

one nation logoThe Players Theatre in Manhattan has announced that they will host the performance, One Nation, One Mission, One Promise – An American Story, a unique off-Broadway play heading  for a 5-week limited run, beginning January 12, 2018.

The play celebrates America’s diverse citizenship by bringing alive the heroes who strove to create “a more perfect union” for all its people. In the play Thomas Jefferson, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Martin Luther King share the stage for the first time, while Frederick Douglas attends a Town Hall meeting with Ellen DeGeneres.

The play is written, directed, and produced by Victoria Medina. The cast includes Odysseus Bailer, James Cougar Canfield, Kelsey Lea Jones, Jeff MacKinnon, Emelie Pla, Emma Romasco, Dana Surlock, and Samantha Talbott.

The creative team consists of artists such as Layon Gray (Consulting Producer), Andrew Beall (Musical Director/Composer), Lisa Renee Jordan (Costume Designer), Steven Beall (Composer), Erin Elizabeth Nihill (Set & Lighting Designer), Robert Shetterly (Consulting Artist), Sam Cornbrooks (Associate Producer), Jennifer Snowdon (Makeup Consultant), Kalen Sierra Hughes (Assistant Stage Manager) and Emily Pierce (Production Stage Manager).

One Nation, One Mission, One Promise opens at The Players Theatre on January 12th and closes February 11th with performances scheduled Friday and Saturday at 7 pm  and Sunday at 3 pm.

Tickets range from $32 to $62. Tickets are available in person at The Players Theatre or online.
