The Museum Association of New York (MANY) are now accepting Nominations for the 2017 Awards of Merit.
The Awards of Merit program recognizes outstanding programs and individuals who have enriched the museum community with a project that was completed in 2017 at a New York State museum, historic site, cultural institution, zoo, botanical garden, or aquarium.
Nomination of oneself or one’s organization is permissible and encouraged. Nominations will be accepted in these categories:
Anne Ackerson Innovation in Leadership Award, The Rising Star Award, Individual Achievement Award, Persistence Award, Innovation in Collections Access Award, Engaging Communities Award and the new Excellence in Design Award sponsored by NAME.
For the Innovation in Collections Access and the Engaging Communities Awards, judges will consider and make awards in four categories that correspond to institutional annual budget size: 1) All Volunteer – $100,000 2) $100,000 – $500,000 3) $500,000 – $1,000,000 4) over $1,000,000
Awards will be presented at MANY’s 2018 Annual Conference, Visioning Change, April 8-10 in Rochester.

To submit a nomination, email materials to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5 pm on November 27, 2017. Award winners will be notified by January 5, 2018.
