An Independence Day Fair will take place at the John Jay Homestead, in honor of America’s founding. The Fair, hosted by the Bedford-Armonk Rotary will take place on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 11 am to 4 pm at John Jay Homestead in Westchester.
The Fair features readings of the Declaration of Independence, face painting by artist Laura Consiglio, live music by guitarist/vocalist Diane Diachishin and fiddler John Lawrence, excerpts from the musical 1776 by Bedford Community Theater, Colonial games, petting zoo, stilt walker, log cutting, beekeeping, 18th Century Equestrian Demonstration, pony rides, crafts, historic house tours, hayrides, discovery centers, and food from the grill and other refreshments.
Admission is free for the grounds and Declaration readings (11:30 am and 2 pm); food and most activities (11 am to 4 pm) are available by ticket purchase.
John Jay Homestead State Historic Site is located at 400 Jay Street, Katonah, NY.
