Plant a single tree, a mini-grove, a section of a perennial garden, or shrubbery – any and all help during those days will be greatly appreciated. Community members, friends, and volunteers are all welcome.
Individuals interested in planting a tree or garden in memory or honor of a loved one or friend can speak with Museum staff and volunteers that day to learn more about the opportunities available. A portion of the funds generated from these events will help accomplish the goal of beautifying and interpreting the museum campus.
A check-in and information table will be located at the front of the Discovery Campus building all three days. A minimum quantity of gardening tools will be available, so please bring your own if possible. The Discovery Campus is located at 3369 Guyanoga Road in Branchport, NY.
On May 10, Museum volunteers will also be hosting a Pig Roast to benefit the Discovery Campus at the Branchport Fire Hall from 3 to 5pm. The meal will be provided by The Valley Inn and music by Creekside Entertainment DJ. Tickets are $12 per person or $6 for children 12 and under and can be purchased on the Museum’s website at www.FingerLakesMuseum.org, at Long’s Cards and Books, Milly’s Pantry, or the Branchport Hardware.
