Hudson River Valley Area Heritage Development Grants

unnamedApplications are now available for the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area Heritage Development Grant Program.

The due date for these applications is February 14, 2014. There is a total of $50,000 available for these 1:1 matching grants. Awards will range from $1,000 to $5,000. The program offers funding for projects that further the goals and mission of the HRVNHA: to recognize, preserve, protect and interpret the nationally significant cultural and natural resources of the Hudson River Valley for the benefit of the Nation.

These grants are intended to provide seed money to organizations for the purposes of: programming, interpretation and marketing that support the mutual goals of the HRVNHA and applicants. Highest priority will be given to projects or programs that feature a designated Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area Heritage Site.

The grant program guidelines and application are available online. Applications can also be requested by calling (518) 473-3835, or by emailing the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area hrvg@hudsongreenway.ny.gov. Application packets must be emailed, postmarked or delivered on or before 4PM, February 14, 2014. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

The Hudson River Valley Greenway is the management entity for the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area.
