I have published four articles on Adirondack Almanack concerning John S. Apperson, Jr. and his efforts to preserve and protect the Adirondack Forest Preserve, especially at Lake George. I am wondering if it might be possible to have them reprinted here. The latest one ( August 14th) concerned Warwick Carpenter, who was fired from his job as Secretary of the Conservation Commission in 1921…because he spoke out against abuses and mismanagement. This seems like an important slice of NY history to me. Thanks. Ellen
Haha Ellen, I edit this site also! We’ll definitely get you set up to run here. Can you drop me an e-mail remainder?
Best,
