Pioneer America Society to Meet in The Mohawk Valley

Mohawk Valley ConferenceThe Pioneer America Society: Association for the Preservation of Artifacts and Landscapes (PAS: APAL) will hold its 45th annual conference in Mohawk Valley.

“The Mohawk Valley – New England Extended: Landscapes of Cultural and Economic Change & Diversity,” will be held Wednesday, October 9th through Saturday, October 12th, 2013.

Proposals for papers, special sessions, and panel discussions relating to the conference theme, and papers on all aspects of material culture and landscapes that are of interest to the Society will be welcome.

The conference will feature a Wednesday evening reception; Thursday tours of Historic Utica or Historic Cooperstown; a full day of scholarly papers and an awards banquet on Friday.  And a Saturday bus tour of the Historic Mohawk Valley (which includes a luncheon).
